We have a dedicated and committed core team of teaching staff. Staff are supported by external specialist teachers in various fields depending on the topic the children are learning.

Meet our staff

Michelle Kelly – Headteacher
I have been Headteacher, of Ashleworth, since 2013. I really enjoy being part of this wonderful school family. I have been teaching for a very long time but still enjoy learning new things with the children. They usually show me how all the technology works. My favourite lesson has to be English. When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading and going to the theatre. I also enjoy travelling to new and exciting places.

Sanette Wright – Finance Administrator
I was born in South Africa and left for Englang end of 2018 to join family here and raise our son in this amazing country. As the administrator, I get a chance to work with everyone. From helping with lunches to finances, no 2 days are the same. I enjoy family and friends, dancing and gardening, music and working with the community. I really enjoy my job and seeing families and pupils thrive and flourish.

Zoe Davenport - Class 1 Teacher (YR/KS1)

I am new to the school but I have lots of experience in a range of different schools working with EYFS and KS1 children. In my spare time I love to go on long walks with my dogs. In the school holidays I spend time onboard cruise ships working in the kids’ clubs, where I can explore the world while building holiday happiness for children and their families.

Autumn Barnes - Class 1 Teacher (YR/KS1)

I have enjoyed teaching in class 1 since the start of 2020 and I have now returned to class 1 as a part-time teacher since having my baby. In my spare time I enjoy family days out and reading.

Claire Gobourn – Class 2 Teacher
I’m a part time teacher in Key Stage 2 and have been teaching for twelve years. I have always taught mixed age classes and thoroughly enjoy seeing the children progress throughout their time with me. Outside of school, I am a proud mum of two young girls and love to spoil them! I enjoy family days out and exploring new places.

Andrea Williams – Class 2 Teacher

Elaine Huggins – Teaching Assistant
I work in Class 2 and support and help the teachers and children in Y3-6. I also welcome children in Before School Club and help serve the lunches.I love to spend time in my garden growing vegetables and flowers. You’ll often find me pottering around my greenhouse! I enjoy walking and cycling and for the last two years have been involved in volunteering for the Toad Patrol. I help make sure the toads get across the road safely so they can continue their journey to their pond.

Jayne Malone – 1:1 Teaching Assistant
My role is one to one in Class 2. I am a rugby fan and enjoy watching my sons and my grandson playing rugby at the weekend. I also enjoy travelling the country in my motorhome with my husband
