On Monday 11th March (Science week) Class 2 took a trip to Slimbridge Wetland Centre to support our Science topic of 'Living things and their habitats'. We all enjoyed seeing the different species of birds, feeding them, and taking part in an activity called ‘Wetland Wonders’.

The Wetland Wonders session consisted of exploring wetland habitats and microhabitats using our senses and the aid of soft toys, magnifying glasses, sound guns and blindfolds. Using soft toys, pupils compared animals such as an otter and a beaver and thought about what animals need in order to survive in a wetland. With the other equipment, we rotated around areas to see what we can discover in terms of plants, insects, birds and other mammals.
